Anti-Doping Pre-Games Work for the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games
2018-10-02

The 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is right around the corner and will be held from 6 – 18 October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In preparation for the Games, HKADC has been working on various aspects of anti-doping to ensure that athletes and support personnel understand the anti-doping rules and their rights & responsibilities.

Pre-Games Doping Tests

In order to protect clean athletes, no advance notice pre-game doping tests are conducted on our athletes to ensure that the YOG is clean.

Check Prohibition Status of Medications

It is the athletes’ responsibilities to ensure that there is no prohibited substance in their bodies and that they do not use any prohibited method. Athletes can use DrugInSport (www.druginsport.hk) and Global Drug Reference Online (www.globaldro.com) to search for the prohibition status of medications.

Anti-Doping Education

HKADC has conducted an Anti-Doping Briefing Session for the delegation members on 29 September 2018. Topics discussed include anti-doping rules violation, testing procedures, athletes’ rights and inadvertent doping.

Anti-Doping Pamphlet

HKADC has also prepared an anti-doping pamphlet which included some tips and rules highlights for the delegation attending the Games. Download 3rd YOG Anti-Doping Leaflet
