The 2027 World Anti-Doping Code adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will come into force on 1 January 2027. To fully align with the implementation of the new Code, ADOHK is actively carrying out various preparatory and transitional work, including updating anti-doping rules and producing educational resources, with the aim of helping local athletes, athlete support personnel (ASP), and the public clearly understand the key amendments, rights, responsibilities, and enforcement standards under the new Code.
Meanwhile, WADA has launched a dedicated online course titled “The 2027 Code Companion for Athletes” on the ADEL platform. The course covers key updates introduced by the new Code, including important areas such as education requirements, whereabouts, testing procedures, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), results management, data privacy, and investigation mechanisms, enabling athletes to clearly understand their rights and responsibilities under the new Code.
All athletes, athlete support personnel, and members of the public are welcome to register and log in to their personal accounts on the ADEL platform, search for “The 2027 Code Companion for Athletes”, and take the course. Stay informed about the new regulations, prepare thoroughly, and uphold the principles of clean sport.
