 Due to the recent positive cases involving Methylhexaneamine found in Hong Kong athletes, HKADC again strongly urge athletes to check any supplements they may be using as to whether these products may contain the Prohibited Substance Methylhexaneamine. Methylhexaneamine is classified as a stimulant on the WADA 2012 Prohibited List and is prohibited in-competition. |

Committed to the fight against doping in sport, HKADC will introduce a new component to its testing programme starting in 2012 — blood testing. Complementary to urine testing, blood testing enhances or allows the detection of the use of prohibited methods/substances that cannot be detected in urine such as blood transfusion, growth hormone, insulin and continuous erythropoietin receptor activator (CERA).
