A two-phase approach in implementing the HKADC Testing Programme was endorsed by HKADC in March 2009. In Phase 1, the Registered testing pool will be of a smaller scale to allow more resources to be concentrated on setting up the system and training of related personnel. Only out-of-competition testing will be conducted at Phase 1 which commenced in May 2009 and ended on / after March 2010. In Phase 2, the testing pool will be enlarged so as to facilitate a more effective drug testing programme to prevent doping practice in Hong Kong. Both in- and out-of-competition testing will be conducted at Phase 2 which will commence on / after April 2010.
